Accreditation Statement
The 'Comtecmed' is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net
'The 2nd World Congress on Controversies in Urology (CURy)' is designated for a maximum of (or 'for up to') 15 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.

EU-ACME members please bring your EU-ACME membership card to the meeting to register for credits. The scanners will be placed at the Registration Desk. You will need to have your membership card scanned on all days to obtain maximum credits.

Serono Symposia International Foundation (http://www.seronosymposia.org) will apply to the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK for CME accreditation of the “2nd World Congress on Controversies in Urology” (Lisbon, Portugal – February 5-8, 2009).
This program “2nd World Congress on Controversies in Urology” (Lisbon, Portugal – February 5-8, 2009) will be submitted for CME accreditation from the Italian Ministry of Health.
The CME accreditation is valid for the main congress program only and does not cover the company-sponsored symposia.
ISO 9001 Certification:
Serono Symposia International Foundation has received the ISO 9001 Certification of Quality Management Systems. This Quality certification requires all participants to fill in a scientific questionnaire and to evaluate the overall quality of the event. Questionnaires will be distributed onsite during the congress.
