GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS FOR POSTER
PRESENTATION
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS: June 30, 2001
1. SUBMISSION OPTIONS:
Abstracts may be submitted in English in one of the following ways:
i) Via this website, by completing the Abstract
Form
ii) By electronic mail, using the abstract template
iii) By regular mail
Important:
Do not fax abstracts
Do not submit multiple versions of the same abstract - please use only one
method of submission.
2. ELECTRONIC MAIL
In order to receive the abstract template, please send an E-mail message
to: controversies.template@kenes.com
and the template will be sent to you by automatic reply. Please note that the
template is only compatible with Word 7 or Word 97 for Windows and more recent
upgrades. Please follow the template instructions carefully. Once the abstract
has been checked and is ready for submission it should be sent to: controversies.abstract@kenes.com
If submitting more than a single abstract, each abstract must be sent using a
separate template.
If submitting an amended abstract, please indicate this by typing REP in the
space provided on the template.
3. REGULAR MAIL
a. The entire abstract (250 words) including title, author(s),
institution and country must fit WITHIN THE RECTANGLE provided on the abstract
form (obtainable from the congress Secretariat). White paper of the same
dimensions may be used.
b. Type using a laser or high quality printer with minimum font size of 10pt.
Standard abbreviations may be used.
c. Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the Abstract Book
exactly as submitted; therefore abstracts must be submitted camera-ready. Avoid
errors, corrections and misspellings.
d. Mail abstracts (original and 2 copies) to:

4. DISCLOSURE OF FACULTY RELATIONSHIPS -
Policy Statement
The Congress requires that audiences at this educational program be
informed of a presenter's academic and professional affiliations, as well as
other commercial relationships relevant to the content of the material that is
presented.
This policy allows the attendee to be fully informed in evaluating the
information being presented. The situations may include, but are not limited to
1) stock options or bond holdings, 2) research grants, 3) employment (full or
part time), 4) ownership or partnership, 5) consulting fees or other
remuneration received by the presenter or his/her immediate family, 6)
nonremunerative positions of influence such as officer, board member, trustee,
or public spokesperson. The disclosure should be shown as an indication (by an*)
for those presenters who have stated that a relationship(s) exists relevant to
the topic(s) being discussed. |
