The Seventh World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility, Hilton Athens Hotel, Athens, Greece, April 14 - 17, 2005
Congress, ObGyn, Ob-Gyn

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Athens at night

Since its inception in 1999, COGI has become established as a unique gathering of physicians and researchers from all fields of obstetrics, gynecology and infertility, aiming to discuss the most pressing current issues in the corresponding subspecialties under one roof.

Previous COGI Congresses have taken place in Prague, Czech Republic (1999), Paris, France (2001), Washington D.C. USA (2002), Berlin, Germany (2003) and Las Vegas, USA (2004). COGI has been established as an outstanding and most comprehensive congress that deals with all the burning issues of our profession with evidence based discussion. The purpose of the COGI congresses is to disseminate information on controversial issues in our field and in general, with sections dealing with perinatology, gynecology, endoscopy, oncology and infertility. COGI is the only meeting where physicians can meet with outstanding experts in all Ob/Gyn fields and be updated on the most pressing clinical questions of the day.

We hope to reach actual and agreed-upon answers to come of these controversies, through evidence-based medicine. Following the success of the previous Congresses we have been encouraged to continue and make COGI into a series of congresses.

Athens, birthplace of the Olympic Games, offers perfect Mediterranean weather, world famous sights and thousands of restaurants and taverns together with first class shopping. Its most famous landmark, the Acropolis, rises high above the modern city and can be admired from the Congress center. Athens offer a wide variety of activities: antique markets, Lycavittos Hill, the open-air theatres, the many temples and museums and the busy port at Piraeus are among the places you should not miss.
