We are looking forward to welcoming you to the 1st World Congress on Controversies in Ophthalmology (COPHy), March 4-7, 2010 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic.

Arrival from the airport to the Congress venue Prague Ruzyne Airport, the largest international airport in the Czech Republic, is located about 12 kilometers (8 miles) northwest from the center of Prague. The airport has no metro or train connection with the city center and is only served by buses and taxis, which are easily accessible.
By Taxi A taxi should not cost more than 600 CZK, which is about 24 Euro. By Bus Three local buses connect the airport to metro stations. No. 119 goes to Metro Dejvicka (green line A) No. 108 goes to Metro Hradcanska (green line A) No. 179 goes to Metro Nove Butovice (yellow line B) Local buses run between 5.00 and 24.00, approximately every 20 minutes and cost about 10 CZK.
There is also a relatively cheap airport bus which will get you to Namesti Republiky in the city center. These buses run roughly every half hour during the daytime.

Please register upon arrival in order to receive your kit containing the COPHy program and abstract book, your personal name badge, invitations, etc. Please remember to wear your name badge to all Congress activities and social events.

Welcome Reception All registered participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to the Welcome Reception, which will take place on Thursday, March 4 at about 19:00. Invitations are included in the personal registration kit.
Lunches Buffet lunch will be served for participants of the congress in the Exhibition Area on Friday, March 5, 13:00-14:00 and Saturday, March 6, 12:30-13:30.
Invited Speakers Presentations Speakers are requested to visit the preview room prior to their lecture and upload their presentation, no later than one break prior to the session in which they are scheduled.
Poster Presentations Please check the Scientific Program for the day of your presentation. Posters should be mounted either on the evening prior to your presentation day or between 07:30-08:30 on the day of your presentation. Posters must be removed by the end of the sessions on the same day.
Poster presentations have been scheduled over the 2 full days of the Congress (Friday, March 4th and Saturday, March 5th). All poster authors are requested to be present near their posters on the day they are scheduled during the Coffee and Lunch breaks. All registered participants are invited to view this important section!
E-posters Poster presenters are invited to have their posters displayed also as e-posters during the Congress. E-posters can be uploaded anytime during the Congress.
A specific poster can be viewed at any time during the Congress (from 08:30, Friday, March 5th to 17:30, Saturday, March 6th). A specific time slot will not be required. Simply use one of the computers located in the e-poster area at a time convenient to you. You will be able to view all electronic posters as frequently and as often as you wish.
CME Accreditation Please note once on-site that you have you CME Accreditation form in your kit. In order to receive your accreditation points, please submit the completed Serono Symposia CME Accreditation form to the registration desk before the end of the congress. Your CME Accreditation Certificate will be send to you directly.
COPHy Feedback Form Please note once on-site that you have a Feedback form in your kit. We would greatly appreciate hearing your comments. Once completed, this form may be handed in to the registration desk.

Visas Some participants may require a visa in order to enter the Czech Republic. Please check with your local Czech Consulate or Embassy.
Currency, banks and money exchange The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech crown (koruna), abbreviated as Kč, with the international abbreviation CZK. The approximate value of 100 CZK is 4 EUR/5 USD, although part of the EU the Euro is not widely used and it is recommended to have CZK available.

Climate March offers beautiful weather in Prague. The average temperature in March is around 5°C, but can rise up to 8-14°C, with a mixture of rainy and sunny days.
