We are looking forward to welcoming you at The 7th World Congress on Controversies in Ophthalmology (COPHy), March 31–April 2, 2016 at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention center in Warsaw, Poland. In preparation for this upcoming Congress we would like to provide you with the below information for your perusal before travelling to join us at the 7th COPHy!

Arrival and departure from the Airport / Train Station to the Congress Venue
The Warsaw Airport is the Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airport is located 20-30 minutes out of the city center. To get to the Congress venue from the airport, you can take a taxi, bus or train. The typical minimum taxi fare from the airport is 50 PLN. To view further details on how to get to the Congress venue please click here.
Language
English is the official language of the Congress. Simultaneous Translation from English to Polish will be available at the Congress during all plenary sessions, all industry-sponsored symposia, and some other retina sessions.
Please deposit a your Congress name tag in order to collect headphones for the Simultaneous Translation service, which will be returned once headphones are returned.

Welcome Reception
All registered participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to the Welcome Reception, which will take place on Thursday, March 31 at 19:00, Exhibition Area. Invitations are included in the personal registration kit.
Lunches
Lunch Box pick-up will be available on Friday April 1, 2016 at 12:15-12:45 followed by Desserts at 13:45-14:15.
On Saturday, April 2, 2016 Lunch Box pick-up will be available at 12:15-12:45 followed by Desserts at 13:45-14:15. Please present your name tag at the entrance.
Poster Presentation
Posters should be mounted between 08:30-09:00 on the day of presentation. Poster presentations have been scheduled over the 2 full days of the Congress (Group A, Friday, April 1st and Group B, Saturday, April 2nd).
Poster presenters should plan to be beside their posters during the breaks, as specified in the program on the day of their presentation. Please see the Congress Secretariat for board allocation at the Congress.
Please remember to dismantle your poster at the end of the day of your presentation, no later than 17:30.
The Organizing Committee is not responsible for posters that are not removed on time! Poster presentation times are as follows:

CME Accreditation
All registered participants will receive a username and password just after the Congress. Participants will be asked to complete their CME Accreditation form online by logging in with their username and password on the Congress website: www.comtecmed.com/cophy
Once the CME feedback form is completed and submitted online, your accreditation certificate and points will be available for download.
Visas
Prior to booking flights, registrants are strongly advised to confirm with their travel agent whether they require a Visa to travel to Germany. Information about Visa requirements can be found on the World Travel Guide website: www.worldtravelguide.net
ComtecMed will not be responsible for any cancellations or delays caused by authorities due to a lack of Visa or other required documentation.

Please note the following:

Photography and Recording Policy - The Congress Organizers remind you that it is forbidden to install or use equipment in a private place for observing, photographing, recording, amplifying or broadcasting sounds or events without the consent of the person or persons entitled to privacy therein. If you would like a copy of the presenter’s slides, please feel free to contact the presenter directly. Therefore, participants are asked to be respectful of their colleagues by turning off all cell phones, PDA devices before entering the Congress halls. Cameras and all other recording devices are strictly prohibited in all session halls, in the Exhibition Area, and throughout the Poster Presentation Area.

Smoking Policy - In accordance with our policy, COPHy is a non-smoking Congress.

Free Internet and email facilities will be available during Congress hours.

Informal for all occasions.

Warsaw end of March / beginning of April is 8°C (low of 3°C) which is slightly warmer than the proceeding months.
Business Hours
Most shops and stores are open 9.00am - 7.00pm (with one hour lunch in, between noon and 3.00pm) Monday to Friday and 9.00am - 1.00pm on Saturday. Shopping centers are usually open Mon-Sun 10.00am – 11.00pm.
