E-Poster Presentation Guidelines

The DIP Scientific Committee will be accepting abstract submissions this year in Barcelona for E-poster presentation only.

E-Posters are a modern, attractive and innovative way to display your research. E-posters are similar to traditional paper posters, but are displayed on-site on a digital screen, and will be available to view from the DIP website based on your approval.

We believe that E-posters increase poster visibility during and after DIP, providing another highly effective platform for promoting continuous education and extending the meeting lifecycle with options to share, comment and even raise questions to the authors.
We recommend adding your email address to your E-poster to allow those interested to contact you.

Before the Symposium
To display an E-Poster, all presenters must be registered in advance (no later than February 1st, 2017). Please click here for online registration. If you are NOT pre-registered your submission will be withdrawn and you will not be able to display your poster.

Please note if you have not completed your registration, your abstract will NOT be included in the final Program Book and NOT included as an E-Poster on site.

All abstract submissions are reviewed by the Scientific Committee following the January 17, 2017 Submission Deadline.
Authors who are accepted to present during DIP Barcelona will be notified via email that their abstract has been tentatively accepted pending completion of the registration and payment process to the Symposium.
The registration and payment process must be completed in full no later than as directed by the Congress Secretariat.

E-Poster Presentation Requirements
After the given payment deadline, all registered authors will receive instructions to prepare and send their E-Posters for DIP Barcelona via email.
- Authors will receive a username and password to access the E-Poster upload system
- Technical support will be provided for authors needing any assistance when uploading their E-Posters

Please be advised further information regarding presentation requirements will be provided closer to the time of the Symposium. We do however suggest to review the below requirements with regard to the layout / content / font etc. in order to have an intriguing poster.

The reading order of the a poster should be down columns, rather than across rows
Use just one or two colors on a plain colored background
Put the conclusions in a prominent panel (preferably at the bottom of the poster)
Watermarks in the middle of a poster tend to distract
Do not justify the column text if there are few words to a line
Be selective in your use of bullet points, perhaps only in the conclusion

Poster body text must be readable from 2 meters (with possible exception of references) and the title from 4-5 meters
Avoid capital letters except at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns
Use a black sans serif font e.g. Arial or Gill Sans throughout
Do not underline anything
Use a bolder, larger typeface for the main titles and headings. It can be effective to use a different typeface for headings and subheadings
To emphasize body text, use a bold or italic font

Check the draft of your poster very carefully to ensure that there are no typographical or style errors
