Touring the White City: 09:00-14:00

The declaration of The White City of Tel Aviv as a World Heritage Site is a prestigious international recognition of Tel-Aviv’s special architectural style. Tel Aviv, planned by the architect Sir Patrick Geddes, with its special urban and historic fabric, is home to world’s largest collection of buildings in the international style. The city was born of white cubic buildings built without ornamentation. Only close observation of the fine details reveals the characteristics of the style: Walls used only as shells and not connected to the skeleton, pillars, flat roofs, white walls, strip windows, facades with air ways, shading ledges, vertical stairways accentuated by glass bricks, machine and boat motifs expressed with round windows and industrial elements, pipe banisters, round corners and, of course, a focus on functionality and simplicity. You will be able to savor a variety of international style buildings, learn about their unique historical and architectural context and get acquainted with the people who designed them. The tour routes will provide you with a fascinating experience in the Tel Aviv of the past and the present.

Tel Aviv & Jaffa Tour: 09:00-14:00

Start your tour at the Rotchild Boulevard. Continue on foot to the Neve Tzedek "Oasis of Justice" Neighborhood. At the beginning of the 20th century Neve Tzedek was the home of many artists and writers, but in the following years the area suffered from neglect, with the old houses and streets crumbling away. Only in the 1980's, the place recaptured its former prestige and has since become a stylish residence with plenty of restaurants, galleries and designer shops. The architecture of Neve Tzedek is definitely one of the highlights in the area. Beautiful old houses restored to grandeur by modern architects and designers. Next visit the Ancient Sea Port of Jaffa, known to be the oldest Seaport in the world.
