Art-Nouveau Prague

This tour invites you to discover the works of the great Czech artist Alfons Mucha (1860-1939). The exhibition is located in the Kaunitz Palace in the very heart of Prague. The Municipal House – Prague´s most prominent Art Nouveau building stands on the site of the former Royal Court palace, the King’s residence between 1383 and 1485. The interior of the building is decorated with works of the leading Czech artists of the first decade of the century, including Alfons Mucha. There are numerous smaller halls, as well as cafés and restaurants where visitors can relax and enjoy the centre’s flamboyant Art Nouveau decorations at their leisure.
