Getting to the Congress Venue (Hilton Berlin Hotel) from the airports in Berlin:

Tegel Airport:

By public transportation
Take Bus 128 in the direction of Osloer Strasse to Kurt-Schumacher Platz and switch to metro U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf to Stadtmitte, approx. 30 minutes, costs EUR 2.60 per person


Take Bus X9 in the direction of Zoologischer Garten to Ernst-Reuter-Platz and then switch to metro number U2 in the direction of Pankow to Stadtmitte, approx. 30 minutes, costs EUR 2.60 per person

By taxi

Taxis are available 24 hours a day. The journey time is approximately 30 minutes, costs EUR 25.00 per way.

By public transportation:
Take Train RB14 or RB7 in the direction of Nauen or S9 to S+U Friedrichstrasse and switch to metro U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf to Stadtmitte, approx. 45 minutes, costs EUR 2.60 per person

By taxi:

From Berlin Brandenburg Airport, taxis are available to take you directly to the Hilton Berlin hotel. The journey normally takes around 50 minutes from the airport to the hotel and costs are EUR 35-40 per way

The Registration Desk will operate during the following hours:

Please register upon arrival in order to receive your kit containing the CONy Program Book, your personal name badge, invitations, etc. Please remember to wear your name badge to all Congress activities and social events.

CONy Opening Plenary Session

The first opening plenary session starts on Thursday, May 8 from 17:30-19:15.

Welcome Reception
All registered participants are invited to the Welcome Reception, which will take place following the Opening Session on Thursday, May 8, at 19:15. Your invitation is included in the personal registration kit.

Meet the Expert sessions

Meet the Expert sessions have been scheduled in the Scientific Program. The full program and timing can be found here:
These sessions will allow you to meet with experts in the field, to hold an intimate discussion and ask the most burning questions.
Pre-registration for a session is 15 EUR:
Each session is limited to 30 participants and registration is available on a first-come first-serve basis.


Lunch will be served for participants of the Congress in the Exhibition Area on Friday, May 9, 13:00-13:45 and Saturday, May 10, 13:45-14:45.

Invited Speakers Presentations

Please be sure to come to the Registration Desk to collect your personal badge!
Speakers are requested to visit the preview room prior to their lecture and upload their presentation, no later than one break prior to the session in which they are scheduled.

E-Poster Presentations

E-posters will be available for viewing via plasma screens on-site over the 2 main days of the Congress (Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10).
"E-poster guided tours" have also been scheduled each morning in the Poster Viewing Area.

Some participants may require a visa in order to enter Germany. Please check with your local Turkish Consulate or Embassy.

If you don't mind bringing a light coat, you will enjoy visiting Berlin in May – average daytime temperatures are 15 °C (60°F), an average low of 7°C (44°F) can be expected in the evenings.
